A very large Norwegian study (called the HUNT study) looked at risk factors for death for almost 51,000 patients over the period from 1995 until 2011. In this study they found that having either migraine with aura (neurological symptoms) or without aura was not a risk factor for heart disease, stroke or any other reason for death. For men, for reasons unknown, there was a slight decrease risk of death for those who suffer from migraine.
As I have often said, no one has every died from a migraine. However, it has ruined the lives of countless people.
